RipOffReports Extortion
The Evidence is OutstandingRipOffReport's primary method of income is via extortion through their Corporate Customer Advocacy Program. This program makes individuals, businesses, and others pay varying fees to help remove content, modify existing content, and at times remove a page altogether. There are claims that go as far as stating that Magedson is responsible for providing negative comments about companies in hopes that they'd contact him for modification and removal of such claims. Here is an email correspondence with Jim Valente of Mini Vacations with Ed admitting that modification and deletion is possible under the NEW policy of the Corporate Customer Advocacy program.
"...we have instituted a NEW policy as part of our program of Rip-off Report "Corporate Customer Advocacy" program, where we would be willing to delete those reports..."
If RipOffReports.com would check and confirm postings prior to publishing them on their website, there wouldn't be the ability to con millions of dollars out of legitimate and truthful business owners. It's convenient to publicly claim that postings are never modified and cannot be removed on their website, although the background paints a different picture.

Examples of Extortion by RipOffReport.com The evidence is simply overwhelming and there are so many examples that there isn't enough time to read through all of them. Here we will collect and post examples of extortion by RipOffReports.com. Our personal favorite is the deposition of Ed Magedson, admitting to extortion in the following deposition.
